Grant County Recreation Center Sharks Swim Team took seven swimmers July 21-23, to the Missouri Valley Swimming Long Course District Championships in Lenexa, Kans.
Out of 34 teams, the Cyclones, a Western Kansas Swim Club featuring Shark members, took ninth place.
Five of the swimmers cut time with a total of 96 seconds.
Braydon West scored 19 points, Thaxton Freeman scored 15.5 points, and Eddie Alcala scored 2 points with no disqualifications.
Head Coach Aleisha Stepp commented on the team’s performance.
“It was a great weekend! I am super proud of you all,” Stepp said.
